Can I use a guitar to enter notes or does it have to be a keyboard? Thanks!

I think I remember this has been asked before, and the answer was that keyboards were supported (all sorts) but not guitars… Please search the forum 
This answer (from the product manager), or this other (also by Daniel Spreadbury) or this last from Daniel too appeared in the list when searching for Guitar MIDI input.
In addition to what @MarcLarcher wrote, the common theme is that Dorico doesn’t accept input on multiple MIDI channels. But, if you have the ability to force every string to MIDI channel 1, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work.
