If anybody writes for harp on Dorico, we know that if a note is not in range since the last pedal diagram, it will be highlighted red. I think this is a great feature, and think that it could be well used for timpani as well. Given most players have four drums (or five if they’re lucky), it would be nice to know if a note isn’t playable without changing the pitch of a drum. Granted some composers don’t give timpani tuning marks, it is a very helpful thing for percussionists to have.
