Overview bar is buggy when hovering over it, zooms in and out eratically

Hello,

Love using Spectralayers Pro 11, however I’m often having an issue when hovering over the overview bar. It zooms in an out and make things more complicated than it should when I set the right part to edit in the spectral display.
Anybody experiencing this?
I checked the settings, I use a Macbook Pro retina 15inch mid-2015 on macOS Monterey 12.7.4. I exclusively use the trackpad, no mouse plugged in.

Kind regards,

Romain

I don’t have this exact bug in Win11, SL11, but I must say the overview bar gives me nothing but trouble. I’m always editing shortish clips, one by one, so the only thing I get from the Overview bar is the ability to quickly move to some random unwanted place in the timeline whenever I click on it by mistake.

I’d love to be able to hide it!

so, begs the question, @Personata how are you running SL?
Standalone or ARA?

As @henrique_staino and I have discussed here before
I use the overview bar constantly and I find it highly efficient in my workflow. I’m standalone on Win 10 using a mouse (Rival 110).

The part of the timeline that drives me bananas is the tiny lane where the unit ticks are in which to place the “playhead” start point…it’s such a small area and really eats a lot of time because it’s so easy to not hover mouse on that thin line.

My oh my would I like to have a screen pen for selecting voice…but that’s another topic

I use SL11 as standalone. I extract sounds from recordings (as of now, birds). I love the overview bar ! It’s super efficient beside that behaviour.

An other problem I encountered is when I make multiple selections adding up over the whole recording. When I add a new selection (without replacing the others) it brings me back to the first one which sometimes is at the very beginning, even when the playhead is not set there. Makes selecting several moments a pain.

I swear I do love SL :face_holding_back_tears:

ohh 100% agreed on the tiny lane-where-the-unit-ticks-are-in-which-to-place-the-“playhead”-start-point-that-is-such-a-small-area- that-eats-a-lot-of-time-because-it’s-so-easy-to-not-hover-mouse-on-that-thin-line!!!

:upside_down_face:

Same here
