Overwriting plug-in preset

Is there a way to update the settings of a preset in a plug-in?

It seems that “save” creates a new preset, rather than updating the settings of the existing one.

Please enlighten me if I’m wrong.

Thank you for your answers to my many questions (novice learning).

Is there any way to update an existing preset?

As I test my template, I’m constantly changing the plug-in settings. The only way I’ve found to make this work is to delete the preset I’m changing, then to save it again with the same name and different settings.

Is there any other way to update an existing plug-in preset?
