Padshop 2 part of Cubase?

Hi
I’ve just tried to start padshop from the vst list on Cubase 12 Pro for the first time.
I get a message saying no license.
Is Padshop something I need to buy seperately or does it come with Cubase ?
The Downlaod Assistant shows evrything is installed.
I’m trying to get soft airy type of string sounds so any advice on that would help also.
Would anything on Halion 7 give me this (Thinking of the old Dido music)

It’s definitely part of Cubase 12 Pro. Perhaps it’s downloaded but not installed, so you have an older version that’s looking for an eLicenser rather than the new Steinberg licensing?

And yes it’s great for all pads, especially evolving ones.

I would redownload/reinstall it personally as it’s a small download - should be version 2.2.0.

If that doesn’t work then I’d close all Steinberg products, then open the “Steinberg Activation Manager” application and deactivate Cubase license on that machine, Then activate it again.

Many Thanks for yor help skijumptoes
I’ll do that when I get time tomorrow

It’s still the same. When I load Padshop 2 it says I don’t have license.
I’ve tried all of the above.
The activation manager is blank

Oh well, that’s an odd one.

Have you logged in to your Steinberg account via the activation manager? (top right)

When I look at the sctivation manager it is blank,
It shows only my e-mail address and that i’m signed in.
What I don’t understand is, that it’s part of Cubase which is OK but not the Padshop.
I’m angry with myself as Ive been sat here on many occasions battling with s*** steinberg software instead of making music having spent 100s of pounds.

I appreciate the annoyance, you’d think that as Cubase 12 works then Padshop would… But something is wrong with the activation on your machine, so it has to be related to that.

Does the Cubase 12 license show up if you go to your Steinberg account and check?

If it does then I would sign out of the Activation Manager and back in again, and hopefully this refreshes the list.

If it doesn’t show in your Steinberg account, then is it possible you have two Steinberg accounts?

Hi
Ive tried that and on the web page it does show Cubase 12 pro.
On the actual Activation Manager though it is still empty.
I’ve raised a ticket. I still don’t understand because all I can see is evrything for Cubase is OK but, Padshop which is in Cubase is not OK.
Thanks for your help.
