Hi all.
I just installed Cubase 6.5 and was trying Padshop. Everythink works well, only I can’t find out how to use the step sequencer. I tried a lot of things, but I can’t get it to work. If I program a sequence and press a key I just hera the note I’m playing. Tried to sync it to the beat, press play, Cubase is running but just still the same note, no sequence. What could be wrong?

Above the pitch and mod wheels in the GUI, you’ll see:
FX | MOD
STEP | 6-10 | 1-5 (the modulation matrix)
In the modulation matrix you’ll see:
source: (step modulation, lfo etc)
offset ( e.g. to change where in the lfo cycle to start from))
modifier (to add further modulation to the source modulation)
depth (how much the source modulates the destination - [this one makes it all happen])
destination (pitch, cutoff etc)
Hopefully this will start you off.
