If you’re willing to do a little manual hackery, it’s pretty easy to overwrite the default page templates with your own custom templates too. For example, any time I start a file from File/New, I already have 7 of my Full Score templates and 11 Part templates already loaded, so it’s simple to switch page # positioning, apply a template for a page turn, etc. , all with just a click.
I posted a simple walkthrough here, and D5 now checks for duplicated Paragraph Styles so that may no longer be an issue either.
