Hello everyone,
is there an option to create a page template for pages on which a new flow starts. At the moment I have the problem of being able to hide the flowtitle in the header of new pages on whitch a flow starts (marked in orange), but not the hyphen and the game number (marked in yellow):
Hi Rainer, yes you can create a custom page template, based on the Default, and delete the running header text frame from the top of your custom page template.
There isn’t an option for automatically using it when a flow starts at the top of the page, but you can assign your custom page template to the relevant pages manually.
For what it’s worth, I share your interest in being able to hide a wider range of tokens above flow headings at the top of the page, or otherwise handling this more automatically. Perhaps one day
I wanted to see if this has changed, or if it’s still applicable to Dorico Pro 5.1. It does seem like there’s a different page layout for the first pages of flows—the running header doesn’t include the flow name, and the flow name and number appear beneath the running header—but I can’t figure out how to make edits to it. Thanks!
Yes, the first page of music typically uses the First page template, whereas subsequent pages use the Default page template.
Here’s a more detailed description.
If you’re seeing the flow number followed by the flow title, typically that’s part of a flow heading, which isn’t part of any page template, it’s a separate template that can get inserted wherever a new flow starts on a page.
