My page view is unreadable, 5 line staves sit on top of each other with no space between them. The gallery view works as expected.

In View, make sure Signposts/Frame Breaks are set to be visible. Click the first Frame Break on the page, then down in the Properties panel uncheck “Wait for next frame break.”

There are two other likely possibilities:

  1. Staff spacing has been manually adjusted. Switch to Engrave mode, then go Engrave > Staff Spacing > Reset Layout.
  2. Your number of staves per system, paper size and space (stave) size are incompatible. Go to Layout Options (Ctrl/Cmd-Shift-L) > Page Setup, and either increase the Page Size or lower the Space Size.
