Panning in Reverse?

I’m in the middle of a session so unfortunately I haven’t had the time to explore this further, but I encountered some strange behaviour with Groove Agent 5 and the Simon Phillips Studio Drums library. The individual toms are panned to their various locations from right to left and each tom meter indeed shows that the audio is panned accordingly. But, what I’m hearing is in reverse and checking the GA meter in the MixConsole confirms that is the case. Toms panned right are actually panned left and vice-versa:

Am I missing something? Is there a global setting somewhere that toggles between player & listener perspectives?

Ultimately, it hasn’t affected the session as I’ve rendered the toms as multi-mono tracks and panned them manually in the mix, but I was wondering if anyone else has come across this reversed panning.

Yes. There is an L/R button in the Mixer page in the Res/Mix tab that allows you to change the perspective of listening to the drums.

@Rene_L - that is sensational! Thank you for pointing that out. You’re a :star2:

There’s little gems like this hidden all throughout Cubase - I never stop learning new ways of doing the job and it never grows old.
