When editing the paragraph style “Repeat marker sections”, the settings don’t take effect after editing the style “Repeat marker jumps”.
When editing the style “Repeat marker jumps”, it will change the “Repeat marker sections” style, although it set as the child of that style.
I tried setting both to have no parent style, with the same result: “Jumps” will affect “Sections”.
Maybe you’re assuming the wrong paragraph style for the object you’re trying to change?
In D6, you right-click just about any text object and choose Edit Font to be taken to the correct style.

I know very well how to deal with paragraph styles. Did you even read my whole post? The problem is the parent/child relation between these two styles, not how they are assigned in the score.
Yes, I read your post, and since I can’t replicate this in a new project, I thought that perhaps it was a misunderstanding.
Here’s a screenshot with a DC al coda, To coda, and Coda. As you can see, I have made the Repeat Marker Jumps font larger, which affects the first two markings but not the third.
I can then also change the Repeat Marker Sections font to italic, which affects the Coda and the DC (since the Repeat Marker Jumps style is a child of Repeat Marker Sections).
