I often import PDF files into InDesign for some additional layout. Sometimes though I experience some missalignment between stems and noteheads when I export to PDF from InDesign. What could possibly cause this?
The PDF seems OK when exported from Dorico, also when working in InDesign.
I don’t have InDesign myself, but does it have any settings for “PDF passthrough” so that it doesn’t do anything to the PDFs you embed? If so, it would be worth investigating those.
If all else fails, converting all font characters to outlines in your PDFs before you bring them into InDesign will certainly take care of the problem, but it’s quite destructive if you want to then subsequently further edit the PDF.
InDesign should automatically pass through all PDFs with no monkeying. That’s very odd.
