Pedal lines/notches don't move with bars when inserting empty bars

When inserting empty bars in the middle of existing music (shift+B, followed by any number of bars) the existing pedal lines and notches don’t move back with the existing music after the inserted empty bars but the notches stay in place and are now underneath the newly inserted empty bars. Furthermore, this displaces all notches for the remainder of the piece, which is quite bothersome when working on an extensive piece for piano solo.
Steps to reproduce:

  • Create some (piano) music with multiple bars filled with notes and specifically a pedal line extending all bars and multiple notches.
  • Select a bar somewhere in the middle of said created music (with at least one more pedal notch following in later bars
  • Insert at least one empty bar using the bars popover (shift+B)

What I expect to happen: the specified number of empty bars are inserted and the pedal line is extended with the corresponding notches moved back with the music, that is. now also moved back

What actually happens: all notes and corresponding materials move, except for the pedal line/notches although the lines does extend, leaving all notches underneath the newly inserted empty bars and displacing the notches for the remainder of the piece.

semh,
to be sure your piano piece does not get messed up, you should probably add the pedal lines and notches only at the very end of note input.

This is indeed not optimal as things stand. I’ve made a note of it and we’ll take care of it in a future release, though I’m sorry to say that I can’t commit to precisely when we’ll be able to handle it.

Meanwhile the safest solution is probably to split your pedal line before you add the extra bars, add the extra bars, extend or add a new pedal line through the extra bars, then merge the pedal lines.
