I’m just trying to draw a few dots. The track is not armed or anything. The second I click to draw one note Cubase starts drawing all my movements (the automation track lights up red).
Did I turn something on by accident? I don’t understand…

That’s correct behaviour. If you want just one node, simply once click to the line to make one only. Then you can adjust the value moving it up or down.
