Percussion and Drum maps hell continues

Some videos make it seem simple but that’s not my experience at all.
Plenty of issues trying to change Percussion maps. If creating and Instrument and Importing Simon Phillips kit definition (available online at Dorico Resources) then choosing Simon Phillips Studio Drum map in Play, things don’t line up. The map lists Snare Piccolo and Snare Popcorn, but the notes on the Simon Phillips Drum map say D0 for Popcorn and D1 for Piccolo but looking at the Groove Agent loaded instrument pads, D0 is Piccolo and D-1 (which does not even show in the map), is Popcorn. So what gives, need to change the map provided??? And when entering notes for them the label is correct but they don’t play the Instrument, so between the Edit kit layout and the SP Drum map things are amiss and how can it be fixed? There are also issues with the Drum map included by default, Groove Agent SE Studio drum. Add Instrument Drum Full (extended) Default. In Play select VST Drum Agent SE and load Studio Kit Initial drum Kit. The instrument percussion map will read wood blocks in lines 3 and 4 and play a Hi Hat. Try removing the Wood Blocks in Setup - Edit Percussion kit and select Add an Instrument, select Hi Hat, and it loads up a single instrument to the Player Drum kit with it’s own VST and track in Play and apparently there is no way to add it to the existing kit for that player??? So the Edit Percussion kit cannot really be properly edited. Instruments can be removed but how are they added to an existing kit??? And if by chance while experiment one makes changes to the Players/Instruments in Setup then everything gets messed up in the End point configuration, and VSTs get loaded and the ones used previously for Players/Instruments that were not edited or changed in any way are replaced or disappear. A total mess!!!
