Hello,
I must express my amazement; this is truly incredible! It works exceptionally well. Thank you very much for sharing this valuable information.
I am interested in learning how I can import these maps, for Superior Drummer, for use in my new Dorico’s projects.
Thank you kindly.

You could either create playback templates (using endpoints as I suggested) or use the library manager to import the playback stuff from one of these files inside one of yours…

Thank you again, Marc! I was using these maps just the other day!

Hi dear Marc,
First of all, thank you so much for being so helpful and available.
I have a new question for you. I’ve set the endpoints to create the playback template, but why can’t I still use the full sound of the snare? I observed that in your project file, there is a drum (batterie) and a snare (caisse Claire). ShouldI use it to have the full snare sound?
This is the snare sound I’m getting, but it only has three variations:
The snare in your project has many more variations than mine:
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you so much once again.
I suppose you should use the same snare “set” I built up, with all the available playing techniques. The one you’re using is the default one, but SD3 is way richer in articulations (and that’s part of what makes it so convincingly real). You should be able to import instruments through the library manager.

Thank you so much Marc, I’ll try that.

If I had some spare time, I would revise this file (and the maps that go along with it) with an exact correspondance between the terms used in SD3 and the playing techniques/playback techniques, since much of this has evolved in Dorico 5… But I’m not sure it will happen

Just wanted to say thanks for these!!! I picked up The Jazz Sessions and your Core template seems to work almost perfectly! I’ll dive into the intricacies of it when I get around to it, but your template is obviously going to save me a ton of time, thanks!!!
I’ve recorded at Powerstation / Avatar room A a bunch of times, so it’s sort of fun to pretend to have it in my computer. I’m recording there all day next Monday through Wednesday too, so I’ll have to pay attention to which kit is being played on the date.

“Almost”… The devil is in the details
I’ll be soon releasing a new set of Percussion maps for another of their libraries (and this time I’ve used custom instruments, playing and playback techniques

Recorded all day today, and will be the next 2 days as well, at Powerstation Studio A. The drummer is using what SD calls the “Modern Kit,” a Yamaha setup. Obviously our drummer has his own cymbals, but here are a couple of pics of the actual kit used in that SD library:
