Percussion set, creating a new set , not coming as a 5 lines staff

I try to create a percussion set, and whatever I try it creates the notation in a grid, and not in a 5 line stave

Once your percussion kit is created, go to Layout Options>Players>Percussion and check 5-line staff (and select the correct layout in the right hand column, you can have e.g. 5-line staff in the score and grid in the part)

Thank you That was it . I was surprised that checking 5-line-staff in the EDIT PERCUSSION KIT was not enough to create a 5-line staff.

I was surprised that checking 5-line-staff in the EDIT PERCUSSION KIT was not enough to create a 5-line staff.

Indeed, it can be a bit confusing, but actually, in the Percussion Kit, you don’t check (choose) anything. You just set the 3 kinds of staves (5-line, Grid, single-line). And then, in Layout Options, you check/choose, on a per-layout basis - which allows you to have a different display in score/parts.
