According to the recent video from Anthony Hughes on the new Percussion capabilities in Dorico 1.2, pressing the Y key will input the percussion instrument assigned to the current grid location of the caret. This does not seem to work for me.
EDIT - Resetting Key Commands solved this issue. My Post may help others with this problem.
