Perhaps I'm misunderstanding song unmixing

I’ve been testing the song unmix module in SpectraLayers 12 Pro, and I’m not getting the results I was hoping for.

One of the reasons I would get SpectraLayers is to do song unmixing on existing professional recordings. But everything I’ve tried so far produces pretty poor results. Bass is muddy and soft, and half of it ends up on the “Other” stem.

I was hoping the SpectraLayers could produce Moises-level stems, but so far, that’s not the case. Am I simply misunderstanding what “Unmix Song” is supposed to do?

Did you try the de-bleed function?

I did not. Would that be prior to the unmix or after?

After … de-bleed one layer into an other:

De-Bleed from layer other into bass for instance …
