I create a track preset in one project. In the next project I open ‘track presets’ and they’re not there. I don’t’ understand how the ‘root folder’ of track presets works or what I’m doing wrong here in general. Thanks!
I think that adding track by “Using Track Preset” directs to the factory content. This means that we have to use the “Load Track Preset…” command when we are in a specific track, or use the mediaBay for properly inserting a new track. I’m not 100% sure though, perhaps there is a way to show the user defined track presets in the “Using Track Preset…”.

There’s more to it than this, which others might find helpful.
If you select multiple midi tracks (which is what I was generally doing), it will save it as a multi (even though they are all MIDI tracks). It will save it as a MIDI track only if you ‘Save Preset’ with only one MIDI track selected. This means you need to look in the right area (MIDI vs. MULTI) depending on what flavor your track preset is.
