I have a Yamaha (arius ydp-142) connected to cubase 9, and am able to function all instruments. However, when Middle c is hit the Save As window pops up. There are other keys that do various hot key functions as well. How can I turn this off?

Open Devices > Device Setup. In the left side select Generic Remote Device. If you don’t control any Cubase function from your Aurius, set Inpit to Not Commected. If you do, delete the line, where is the Save function stored, or set a MIDI Message, you will never send.
If there is no Generic Remote Device, go thru all Remote Devices, and set their Inputs to Not Connected.
