Hello dorico team, it will be nice if the dorico team could add markings like this in to the common markings page with the legato and marcato to words.
You can add your own Playing Techniques with expressions, if you want.
You can also Alt-click to copy a selected object to a new location, which is easier than re-typing.
It should also be possible to write eg “mf tranquillo” directly into the dynamics popover.
Adding too many non-hideable buttons to the panel could make it harder to navigate or simply annoying for users who don’t use such terms much or at all.
Here is a little question. If I write “p staccato” directly into the dynamic, will the notes sound staccato-ed?
No: it’s just text. You’ll need to create a Playing Technique that triggers the staccato expression (and then hide it, in favour of your dynamic text).
