Hello, I would like to tell the pianist or harpist to cut the resonance by raising the sustain pedal. I can’t find the symbol in the playing technique section of the Writing mode. I can find the symbol in Library → Musical symbols (pedal up), but I don’t know how to place it in the score.
I’ve attached a picture of what I’d like.
Thanks for your help.

To raise the sustain pedal you have to put it down first ![]()
The pedal line is a playing technique. In the popup menu enter ped .
To suppress the Ped sign at the beginning use this setting in Engrave Options > Pedal Lines > Sostenuto Pedal
I assume you know that a harp doesn’t have a sustain pedal, and you need a different symbol for étouffez in a harp part?
The harp doesn’t have a resonance pedal, of course, but its strings resonate and sometimes you have to ask them to be muted.
I can see perfectly well how to write the pedal but not how to lift it. I can’t find the chart you’re showing me. I have attached a screenshot of what I have : Game technique writing mode panel
The harp symbol is a circle with a + through it, basically the same one often used to mark a coda. You can find it in the playing techniques for harp. I’m afraid I can’t provide an example or a screenshot right now (I’m on my phone, travelling).
You can find the playing techniques for harp under those for pitched percussion (I know it’s a bit strange).
Edit: exactly, thanks Jesper @jesele.
Fine for the harp, but for the piano the problem is the same. I don’t have the kind of star that tells me to lift the pedal.
I have found it. Thank you for all your help.
