I like to enter sustain pedal from beginning to end and then insert “Retake” symbol where needed. However, sometimes I need to split the sustain pedal symbol in the middle of the song without erasing the rest. Can we do that? Thanks
Unfortunately you can’t split a pedal line and maintain the retakes, but what you can do is select a single note (e.g. an 8th or similar) at the position at which you want to split the line, and create another pedal line there: the line will be created at the length of the selection, so just an 8th in duration, and the ongoing pedal line will be split at that point and resume afterwards. This means that the only bit you need to fix up is the bit overwritten by the tiny temporary pedal line you added.
