Pickup bar and end bar

Is there a way to tell Dorico to create an incomplete bar at the very end to complement the pickup bar? Or do I always do that manually via the property panel?

How do you call that final bar in English?
Thanks a bunch!

I admit I don’t know how you do that via the properties panel. As far as I know, you can use the shift-b popover to remove (or add) time to a bar, for instance write -2q to get rid of two quarter notes, or -3e to shorten the bar from 3 eighth notes. Hope it helps!
[Edit] of course, the simplest way is to put the caret where you want the music to end, invoke shift-b popover and write fine.

In addition to Marc’s great suggestions, you could put the caret where you want the music to end and select a barline of your choice. Dorico will automatically shorten the bar.

Thanks a lot!
