Hi,
I’d like to request a feature that allows the Arranger Track to remain fixed at the top (or bottom) of the track list, similar to how rows can be frozen in Excel. This would make it much easier to reference while scrolling through a large project.
Thanks for the suggestion, Martin! You’re right that it gets closer to my intention, but it’s not quite as effective as a dedicated pin or freeze option. The upper section can still move, for example when randomly scrolling there, which means I have to reset it. This makes it a bit less intuitive, almost like scrolling back to check the arranger track in normal way.
A dedicated pin or freeze option would be much more comfortable and precise, and assuming respectfully “one small step for a developer, one giant leap for Steinberg users”
I really appreciate your help, though, thanks again!
I actually use the divide track list in every project when the track count exceeds the height of my screen I usually keep the second time line track there together with master out channel, tempo track, signature track. And sometimes even group tracks etc. It’s also going for keeping a reference track there when editing (e.g. kick, snare to compare with other instruments).
But recently I found that the behaviour of tracks above the divide line is kind of messed up. For example if I rearrange the 2 tracks in the mixer so that they are next to each other, they don’t get arranged the same way in the project view when there’s the do I’d track list turned on! Once it’s turned off, the tracks are aligned the way they were supposed to be.
So it’s a shame that this doesn’t work better… but still: for my workflow it’s a huge tool anyway… I’d probably should learn how to use visibility agents properly
