I had a track with a very noisy fan in the back ground. Using unmix noisy dialogue, I lowered the noise layer a certain amount and then recombined the layers. I then unmixed that version and lowered the noise some more and then recombined the layers. I got a much quieter track that way, but then the voice I was working on sounded like it was being played back slower, so the pitch was off. Any ideas as to what happened there, and is this a technique that really doesn’t work in practice?
