Placement of caret global adjustment of current bar

Hi!

I played around with the different insert mode scopes and came to the “Global adjustment of current bar” which is very nice, but Dorico does not want me to place the caret at the start of the measure.

Is this intended?

I can place it on the barline, but then it adds to the bar before it. If I press the right-arrow key it jumps to the second line of the rhythmic grid. With the other scopes I can place it on the first beat.

Couldn’t find any report on this in the forum.

Yes, it’s intended: Dorico shows the caret at the barline position because it indicates that you are going to grow the bar to the left of the caret. We don’t intend that you should lengthen the current bar from the very start of that bar.
