If you have all your sounds loaded in download assistant, and default settings for playback (templates and all that), you’re sure your system settings and speaker setup are correct, and you’re still not getting any output on the midi track (no meters lighting up even though the playback bar is moving), try this:
Dorico Preferences > Play > Audio Device Setup > Device Control Panel > make sure you have your output selected.
I have no idea how it got deselected. Took me all afternoon to figure out why I suddenly couldn’t hear playback.
