Hello, I’m wondering if anyone might please be able to help me. I am writing an arrangement for brass quintet: Two Trumpets in C, French Horn in F, Trombone, and Tuba. I am used to writing parts as they appear to the performer. For instance, with the French Horn part, I prefer to write the note a perfect fifth above the note that sounds. The problem is, Dorico does not seem to want to play it back except at concert pitch. Can someone please let me know how I might change the playback / export to audio feature so that when the MIDI reads the part, the MIDI instrument sounds a fifth below what is written? Thanks in advance, I’d really appreciate the assistance. Attached is the document. Matthew

Hi Mathew,
I’m not really sure of what your melodies should actually be. Can you give any more detail?
Also, you don’t have your Layout set to transposing at the moment. Go to Layout Options > Players > select Transposing layout.
Also, try resetting your Playback Template.
Thank you Daniel, that fixed it, much appreciated!
p.s. the melody goes back and forth between the voices, and the intentional dissonances seem to work better in the piano original. Thanks very much anyway!
