Player's tuning rather than her instument

If I want to produce a score that doesn’t say which instrument is playing but rather if it is transposed or not, what do you recommend?
Can I create a player without instrument and name it Bb-flat or can I copy an existing instrument and name it or can I change the instrument name in the score without affecting its name in other scores or flows?

I would suggest taking an existing B flat instrument, and opening the player’s card in the Players panel, clicking the little chevron next to the instrument’s name, and choosing Edit Names to edit the instrument’s name; this will affect the staff label shown in the music.
