Playing technique not showing in custom instrument tablature

I have set up a custom, 2-course string instrument (Macedonian tambura). When I enter notes, tablature works great. When I enter the “hammeron” playing technique, it only shows in the notation (above the note), not in the tablature, even though I have “Always shown” checked in the Edit Playing Techniques window for that technique.

Am I missing something, or is this not possible with custom instruments/tablature?
