Hi, I seem to have encountered an issue wherein the stock plugins in Cubase 11.0.4, like Revelation only load up blue sliders on my Dell Inspiron 7306 2n1 running Windows 11. Can anyone point me in the right direction to get the “fun” GUI’s working?
Try to right click on the upper area below the Windows title bar, and choose “Switch to Plug-in Editor” (or similar - I don’t have Cubase 11 handy, so there’s a chance the menu item is named slightly different)
Thanks for your response Nico. When I search for a similar option I find the remote control editor, which does not produce the results I was hoping for. It’s the same issue with many of the rest of my plugins, including supervision which is sort of a problem for that plugin especially. When I click the remote control option it just gives me this:
That’s ok for reverbs, but kind of an issue for metering plugins.
Correct. The Remote Control Editor is not what you’re after nor was it suggested.
Do you not see the option “Switch to plug-in editor” as shown in Nico5’s post above? Could you post a screenshot of that menu?
It seems the corruption of a particular file of the Cubase installation is causing this issue.
Reason for the corruption: Steinberg’s development team designed a software that can and will cripple itself. Happens every now and then in different areas of the product.
Here’s a clue what to look for:
I would give you the file but I only have the Cubase12 version of it. So you might have to re-install Cubase.
Hi @ProfessorClarus ,
Could you please ZIP and attach your preferences folder? I’m curious if I can reproduce the issue with your (corrupted) Cubase preferences.
Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% \Steinberg\Cubase X_64
Where the X is the Cubase version (for example 13).
Thank you for chiming in Johnny! It seems an uninstall and complete reinstall is in my future unless Steinberg gives me the needed file.
I’m happy to report that uninstalling Cubase and reinstalling it fixed the issue!
