There IS a way to change plugin names I found out. But the problem is that as soon as you update the plugin Cubase creates new reference lines in the vst3plugins.xlm (in the “Cubase Pro VST3 Cache (arm64)” folder on Mac).
Why not change them in the plugin manager? Again, see how easy Logic solves that.
