It would be nice to have an input peak indicator for plugins, for example, turn red on the insert.

Yes. I don’t know the features of Ableton, but I don’t think it’s not a crazy deal. Clipping is the biggest mistake I think we all make sometimes because we don’t hear exactly in many times but it can cause a lot of problems.
