I have a problem loading some plugins and vst in cubase 14 pro ( they are not appearing in the list at all ) while in the 13 pro version everything is loading just fine and the appears on the list
what can i do to solve this issue ?
its really a basic thing
i fell I’ve waisted money for nothing
Have you tried to do a rescan in the plugin manager?
Clicked at the VST2 enable button at the bottom of the VST Plug-in Manager Window?
As stated in the release notes for Cubase 14, which you didn’t read:
yes iv scanned many time . and i also clicked the vst2 button bellow and it didn’t helped
some of the plugins are vst3 as well so i dont understand this issue
and in cubase 13 pro everything is working fine
Click the “gear” icon and check that the paths to your VST2 plugins are correct:
Tried it as well with multiple path ways
Unfortunately it doesn’t work as well
But thank you everyone for trying to help
Appreciate it
Does anyone know how can I reach out to steinberg and get a refund for my cubase 14 ?.
First of all: why didn´t you try the trial version for 60 days? It´s there for a reason…
Secondly, don´t give up so quick. There is a fix for sure and it will be an easy one I guess. With complex DAWs you will always encounter an issue every now and then.
Last one: look again at the first one…
No, just kidding
Go back to C13 and jot down the location of the VST3 and VST2s. It seems that they are not where they are supposed to be by default.
Then go back to C14 and add this folder in your plugin manager and do a rescan.
Was facing the same issues, but due to the above tips of @MrSoundman I could re-enable them . Pfew
Hallo
Kurze Zwischenfrage

The discontinuation of VST 2 marks the final step in the transition process to VST 3. Focusing solely on VST 3 will increase the stability of our products and allow us to fully leverage the advantages of the VST 3 platform
Moreover, within the next 24 months, Steinberg’s host applications and plug-ins across macOS and Windows will offer VST 3 compatibility only…
So to conclude : Cubase 14 seems to be the last version supporting VST2.
From the release notes for Cubase 14 (which nobody seems to read):
Hallo
Bleibt abzuwarten …
danke für Info
Tom
One more time: on Windows, 64-bit VST2 plugins work fine in Cubase 14.
Bitte lies doch die Mail die ich weiter oben geschrieben habe …
Rede nicht von Version14 …sondern was die Zukunft bringt… 15/ 16 etc …
schönes Wochenende
It was more a question of not realising that they were VST 2 plug ins. I thought they were VST 3.
…but thanks anyway!
I have no cog wheel to add VST paths until I click the VST2 button. When I do, it scans folders for VST2, tells me how many I have (182), and then proceeds to not include them at all in the list of plugins. Then the cog wheel promptly disappears, so I am unable to point it in the direction of my VST2 folders.
Also, I am unable to point the VST Manager in the direction of my VST3 folder, which is too large for my C Drive.
Any hints? Thanks in advance.
When you get the message it has found additional plugs and you ok it does the vst2 button deselect itself as in your screencap…or does it stay lit but you turned it off for some reason?
Regarding vst3, this has always been the same, Cubase only looks at what sb consider the “correct” location for vst3. You would have to use a symbolic link in your filesystem to work around it.
Waves V13 Not working in cubase 14 pro n not even in 13 pro now
its saying not supported. it was working till the time i didnt update that.
so Not Cool…
