Podcast Filler removal

Hi. I edit a weekly podcast which involves removing “fillers” (pregnant pauses, ums, ahs, you knows etc). I’ve used CapCut to do this with AI but the results are like a clicking robot and, unless you use CapCut to do the whole edit, won’t save time. I’m aware of Discreet which I suspect will be the same. I want to edit in Cubase!
Is anyone aware of an AI tool (perhaps plug in) for Cubase which helps with this, or perhaps there is one coming.
I know Cubase is primarily for music (and I use it for that) but the podcast market is substantial and growing so Steinberg don’t want to be left behind
Thanks

Hi,

I don’t know if this would work. Have you tried to use Silent Detection and set the Threshold so these sounds are gated (detected as silence)?

Does that work if the “ums”, stuttering etc are as loud as the rest of the conversation?
