Possible Virus Ti Desktop 5.1.1 Issue

Just picked up a new Virus Ti Desktop. I have reloaded the software 3 times to ensure a good installation has taken place. The following scenario will cause Cubase to Crash (but not exit completely) asking you to save as a different name:

Steps:

  1. Load Cubase
  2. Create MIDI track
  3. Create Rack instrument Virus Ti
  4. Close Rack instrument (remove from rack)
  5. Re-open Rack instrument
  6. Select category
    *crash

Steps (scenario 2)

  1. Load Cubase
  2. Create MIDI track
  3. Create Rack instrument Virus Ti
  4. Close Rack instrument (remove from rack)
  5. Re-open Rack instrument
  6. Select patch
    *crash

Both scenarios are using USB modes.

Following is system information
Windows 10 64bit (Build 1607, 14393.222), 64GB RAM, SSD drives
Cubase Pro 8.5.20
Access Virus Ti Desktop 5.1.1

I have multiple crash files available if needed.

It’s a goddamn shame no one has bothered to reply, either from Steinberg, or Access Music…
Windows 10 + Cubase (any version from 8 up) + Virus TI via usb = a pain in the neck!
Was never any problem with Windows 7 SP1 on 64 bit. But now it’s a goddamn unstable mess…
