Pre Roll Midi Remote Vs Generic Remote

I am right in thinking that Pre Roll can only be mapped as a command in Midi Remote whereas it can be configured as a controller in Generic Remote meaning it will receive and transmit.
If only possible as a command with Midi Remote there is no synchronisation.

Can I add a controller to the Mapping Assistant.

indeed, as also noted in quite a few other threads, the new MIDI Remote isn’t (yet?) on feature parity with the Generic Remote.
