Precount not working

I have been experiencing an issue where I cannot get the precount to function properly. I have the metronome and precount activated on the transport and have the "Activate Audio cLick’ box checked in metronome settings, but I still get no sound when I press record. Does anyone know of a solution to this?

I got the exact same problem everything was workijng well and it stop i heard the clic on play but no precount even if its activated i never had this problem in many years using cubase
