In Cubase 5.5, what are the preferences for drag and drop a MIDI file into an instrument track (Like Superior Drummer) and have the MIDI file land on the instrument track, so that NOT a new track is created and that the name of the track (like if I named it Superior Drummer) does not change according to the last imported MIDI file??
I had this same problem… The problem for me was that I had used an Instrument Track rather than a Midi track. I simply made a Midi track, renamed it “Superior Drummer” (in my case) and moved the Midi Data to the new track…
Now if I could get Superior to stop renaming the track on import.
