Preferences Presets randomly deleted

So this is the second time I’ve had this happen. The first time was when I was using a Cubase 14 trial, and now it has happened with a purchased version Nuendo 14.

I am very sad, because all of my Preferences Presets are just gone. I cannot find them. I am sad because I had just gotten all my Preferences feeling good, the colors right, etc. But they are now randomly gone.

I looked for them where I believe they are saved /Library/Preferences/Nuendo 14/Presets/Configurations, but there are none there.

They aren’t in my Trash folder.
They were just there a couple hours ago. The only thing I can think of that I did leading to this was I restarted my computer.

Why, and how, could this happen? Am I looking in the wrong place?

Hi, maybe this will help you

So I realized that this was user error.
I was trying to use to the Profile Manager, and I made a new profile instead of duplicating the profile I was using.
Even still, it was weird to me that when I switched to the new profile, my Configurations folder was empty. When I changed back to my default profile, the configurations were there again.
How does this work? Where do the configurations go when you switch profiles?

The configurations are saved to the currently active profile when you quit Cubase. You will also find this info in the linked tutorial above which states that you need to quit Cubase first if you want the latest changes of the session to be a part of your new (dublicated) profile
