Yes exactly
Hi, Iāve downloaded the newest version of the script from your website. FaderportV2 is in S1 mode, Cubase 13 Pro, macOS 13.6.9. Got it to work somehow but the fader keeps resetting to the position where the automation started even when Iām holding down the fader in another position. So itās pretty hard to do any automation now. If I press the āTouchā mode nothing happens. Is this supposed to happen or is there a fix?
It sounds like the question, Sam asked before:
In this case (= if you want that the physical fader does follow the channel) you have to toggle the Read button to āoffā, because the automation data on the cursor has priority over a manual fader setting as long as āRead automationā is active, even if the project is stopped.
Addition:
If you leave the automation (Write + Read) switched on, you cannot move the fader while the project is stopped, but you can do so again when you resume recording, so to continue the recording of automation.
This is a behavior of Cubase.
Followed your very clear instructions and set up my just acquired 2018 second hand Faderport. Works perfectly with Cubase 13. Thank you for all you have done with this
Hi there, this may be a painfully obvious question but iām wondering where the link to the most recent script download is with the latest updates as I couldnāt find it after scrolling back from the most recent reply?
thank you I really appreciate that. Just wanted to make sure I had the latest version Iām really excited for it. this script was the deciding factor for me in getting it.
You are welcome!
Solved the issue by returning the Faderport.
I think your FaderPort is not set to āStudio Oneā mode. Otherwise, there are some notes in the setup file that you need to follow.
About your screenshot: In the view of the FaderPort in the MIDI Remote configuration of Cubase, labels are not visible everywhere. This is normal, because very complex functions are hidden behind the buttonsā¦

The script here only works from Cubase 12 onwards, as MIDI Remote has been available the first time since Cubase 12.
So, can I do something with it?

If you want to use the FaderPort with the script here, you either have to update your version of Cubase or, if you want to save maximum money, buy a used version of Cubase Elements 12, available at knobcloud for about 35 $.
With Cubase Artist 10 you could still use the FaderPort, I think, because the FaderPort also supports a factory mode āCubaseā, which however offers very little function compared to this script here.
Hey mister CKB,
donāt leave us alone

Yes, we are looking forward to the announced updateā¦
The global track scroll seems to be broken by the 13.0.50 update. It scrolls somewhat randomly up and down now here on my system. However, it seems that the midi remote connection problem has been addressed by connecting the Midi Remotes later in the opening process. So far it seems to be performing better on my system this way (but unfortunately not totally perfect).
Thanks for this information.
