Prevent Dorico from creating a second voice during midi recording

Hi,

When I play a simple scale up and down legato, Dorko sometimes creates a second voice, as if I wanted to perform polyphonic music. Is there a preference where I can prevent Dorko from doing that?

How are you entering the notes? Are you playing them in in real time from a MIDI keyboard?

Yes, I start recording, wait for the countdown, and then play. Whenever I hold one note a little too long so that it briefly overlaps with the beginning of the next note, it looks like you see in my example. What I need is the ability to instruct Dorico not to create voice 2 automatically whenever it thinks I want to enter polyphonic music. In fact, this should be the default behavior, I think.

I think (I may be wrong) that this is influenced by your preferences>play>recording.
If you check Detect slurs, then overlapping notes will not create new voices…
