Hello!!!
I currently have Cubase 14. The problem is that when I open projects from previous versions, and before that I had versions 9-11, it takes about 40 seconds to re-save!
That’s a very long time, and with automatic saving, the work becomes a nightmare
. I tried to “save as” the project. That doesn’t help
. But I found a solution
—I create a new project in Cubase 14 and import ALL the tracks from the project I need. Then the project saves (resaves) in 1 or 2 seconds.
How can I fix this? Maybe I missed something in the settings?
Hi,
What happens, if you open the old project and use Backup Project function, to create a new project out of it?
Oh! That’s an interesting solution! I haven’t tried it yet. I’ll give it a shot now!
I opened the most “complex” project.
When I pressed Ctrl+S, it took 2 minutes and 34 seconds to save.
I made a backup of this project and saved it under a different name.
Resaving took 2 minutes and 20 seconds.
But if i open this project in Cubase version 11, it takes literally 1 second to save! The same thing happens if you import tracks into a new project in Cubase version 14 - 1-2 seconds. The trash can is empty. Same audio tracks, same plugins, same instruments. ![]()
I should note that the most complex project I created in Cubase 14 (two weeks ago) was 1 hour and 43 seconds long. It included 3 full Kontacts (48 tracks), an additional 60 MIDI tracks (for hardware synth), 8 virtual synthesizers, 10 audio tracks (tempo-linked(!) ). And saving this project took 8-10 seconds!
Hi,
Would you mind to share any of the project (without the Audio files, just the *.cpr file, please). You can share it via Direct Message.
