Hi
I am using Dorico Pro 5, having recently upgraded from version 4.
I use the Universal Edition SCODO site for publication of scores.
This morning, whilst in Dorico, I ‘printed’ a score using ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’.
When I attempted to upload it onto the SCODO site, it was rejected
with a message saying that fonts must be embedded.
Dorico help files tell me that printing to PDF automatically embeds font
but that clearly has not happened in this case.
I have absolutely no idea why this has not worked, or what to do next.
I have never added or removed any fonts
and only ever used them as supplied by Dorico.
Why doesn’t this work properly ?
Pete
You need to use the Graphics export from Dorico’s own Print mode, rather than Microsoft’s own PDF creator (which would seem to be the cause of the problem).

Thanks for your reply.
In the meantime I tried something else. As I still have Dorico 4 on the computer, I tried the ‘Microsoft Print to PDF’ option under Dorico 4.
It worked fine. That suggest to me that the problem is most likely within Dorico 5.
I also tried your suggestion of using the Graphic export which was also fine, thanks.
If you’re creating PDF, you should always (always!) use Dorico’s built-in PDF creation, and not rely on PDF printer drivers. Dorico’s built-in PDF export will always (always!) embed fonts correctly, but PDF printer drivers certainly will not.
