Hi,
When I go to the print screen, the “title” that is selected is NOT the title that I have in my Engrave screen! Can you help me figure out how to make sure that the title is correct.
I am doing a page override of the title (for important reasons not to get into here) and this has always worked for me in the past. I’ve tried deleting the text box and reinserting. Nothing changes. It’s always the wrong title.

I just discovered that NONE of my edits appear in the printing window. It literally is printing the original Dorico file that I was sent and hasn’t incorporated any of the changes that I made (including moving some of the music to new pages).
Yikes. Any thoughts on why this is happening?
Troubleshooting, I discovered that it was showing the “full score” vs. “piano” setting.
So that begs the question:
Are edits made to page formatting the only edits that are not automatically done on both the “full score” vs. “piano” score? Are all music edits and edits attached to the score shared?
You have to differntiate between “music content” and “layout”.
Music content is (generally speaking) shared between all layouts; layouting is only per-layout.
The answer to that is a little complicated. In general, there is only one set of base musical material, and different layouts are just filtered views of that material. So if you change a clarinet note while viewing the score layout, that same note gets changed in the clarinet part layout as well. Same goes for changing a note’s duration, adding/removing articulations or slurs, etc.
However, things are a little different if you are making changes to the properties of an item (using the Properties panel). Properties are defined as either global or local: when you change a local property, it only takes effect in the current layout, but when you change a global property, it takes effect in all layouts in which that item appears.
In addition, the Properties panel has this setting:
When this is set to Globally, as above, then when you change a local property, your changes will actually be applied globally. This setting has no effect on properties which are global to begin with.
What many people do is leave this set to Globally while they are proofing their score and making changes there, since they generally want those changes to apply to part layouts as well. Then, when they go to proof parts, they change it to Locally so that adjustments made in the part layout do not propagate back to the score.
Note that most graphic editing (for example, moving a slur graphically) is equivalent to changing things in the Properties panel, so the rules about global/local apply even if you’re not working directly in the panel.
