Pro Tools ARA: Stripped down lite version - why?

Hi,

looking at the promo video from Avid about the new Spectralayers ARA integration, it looks like this is a super stripped down lite version of Spectralayers with only 6 (!) modules available to process the audio, whereas in Cubase/Nuendo there are 30 modules available.

I was wondering why that is? Cause in this form Spectralayers in Pro Tools is not very effective and more of a demo version.

It’s SpectraLayers Go, the free version that comes with Pro Tools and Cubase (it was formerly known as SpectraLayers One).

If you buy a SpectraLayers Pro license, you can of course use it in Pro Tools with the full set of features that comes with it.

That’s very good to know, cause I thought one would be limited to this reduced feature set, as I couldn’t find any info stating otherwise.

Thanks for clarifying.
