Probem with Dm3 and Cubase 15

Hi there,

After i uninstalled Cubase 14, Cubase 15 hasn’t worked properly with Yamaha DM3.

It is seeing the soundcard end but the faders don’t communicate with Cubase anymore.

I’ve tried uninstalling drivers, Cubase etc but nothing helps.

Any advice gratefully appreciated

Hi,

How is Gm3 integrated to your Cubase? Do you use MIDI Remote, Mackie Control or any other way?

Are you on Mac or Windows? Can you see the Dm3 MIDI driver in Cubase?

I’m on Windows Martin. Don’t use Midi Remote. Just connected through Mackie Hui.

I reinstalled Cubase 14 and everything is back to working again. I don’t rellay need 14 but it doesn’t get in the way so I will leave it on.

Hi,

Change the MIDI Port Input from the All MIDI Inputs to the dedicated MIDI Port. Also set the Output to the given MIDI Port.

Oh, I see, Cubase doesn’t see the MIDI Port. Cubase overtakes the MIDI Ports from the system. Double-check if you can see the MIDI Ports on the system level. You can also try to restart the system.

I reinstalled Cubase 14 and everything is working ok. At least for now.
