I just upgraded to Cubase 10 and also decided to update my Halion 6 as well. I used the Windows version of the Download Assistant and it was taking ages to download. The speed I got was about 1.4kb/sec, It would take me weeks if I carried on to download about 30GB. I also use a macbook pro with OSx version of the Dowwnload Assistant. Guess what, the download speen was up to 7MB/s. A lot, lot faster than the windows version. The good thing is the Download Assistant let me download both the Windows and Mac OS version.
My question is, what is the problem with the Windows version of the Download Assistant. Just as well I have a MacBook, otherwise I’m snookered (polite version).
Any chance anyone from Steinberg replying?
